The Oregon State Bar Workers’ Compensation Section’s Annual Meeting is coming up on Friday, April 29, 2022 through Saturday, April 30, 2022! Join us in person at Salishan Lodge on the beautiful, central Oregon Coast. An online option will be available for those who prefer to attend virtually. Please note that, if circumstances require, the conference will be moved to an all-virtual format.

 

The conference planning committee has put together an engaging and informative program. We will kick off Friday with a lunchtime keynote speech from Justice Martha Walters, the Section’s annual meeting conducted by Executive Committee Chair, Allison Lesh, and news from WCB.

 

Presentations will follow with CLE credit (approval pending) regarding trans safe workplaces, assessing credibility, workers’ compensation practice tips, the intersection of professionalism and ethics, trying Covid-19 and related cases, and the ever-popular appellate update from Greig Lowell.

 

The Section will host a family-friendly reception Friday evening. Please join your colleagues for beverages, good food, and great conversation following the afternoon presentations!

Through April 15th, you can reserve rooms at Salishan Lodge at a special conference rate. To secure a room at the conference rate, please call Salishan’s Group Reservation Department at 541-764-3600 between the times of 7:00am – 7:00pm. Make sure you identify yourself as a participant in the OSB Workers’ Compensation Conference to get the special rate. You also can reserve a room online at OSB Workers’ Comp Online Reservations.

 

Please note that in-person attendees will need to follow state, local, and venue requirements regarding masking and social distancing. The Oregon State Bar also requires all guests at in-person events sign and return a Release and Assumption of Risk Form and a Vaccine Attestation Form prior to attending. A link to the forms will be available after Friday, April 8, along with details for submitting the forms in advance of the event.
